GLENVIEW, IL — While Dr. Scott Carlson will soon no longer be principal at Willowbrook School, he isn't going very far. Starting July 1, Carlson will assume a new role as the director of human resources for Northbrook/Glenview School District 30, a newly created position.

Carlson, who has been principal at Willowbrook since 2014, has been in the education field for the past 23 years. He has also served as a school psychologist at Sunset Ridge and Middlefork schools in Northfield, and was the principal of Barbara B. Rose Elementary School in Barrington.

"Dr. Carlson is a natural fit for this role due to his experience, passion for supporting staff and developing employee relationships," said Dr. Emily Tammaru, District 30 superintendent. "We look forward to the important work he will lead in ensuring that District 30 meets the goals identified by our recent human resources audit, aligns practices with our forthcoming Strategic Plan, and continues to attract and retain top teaching talent for our students."
